Prior to instructing His followers in arguably the most enriched biblical teaching for Christian living, Matthew 5:1 recorded: He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples CAME TO HIM. The next verse continues, “Then He opened His mouth and taught them” (verse 2).
The Holy Spirit is saying, “Seek Me, the LORD your God. Listen, and I will instruct you.”
Dear Heavenly Father, Loving and Faithful Savior. Draw us nearer, guide us Holy Spirit, O Son of God, teach us Your way. O LORD, we humbly pray, continually remind of us of your Word, the path that leads us back to You, forever and always.
O Jesus, I pray that this lesson brings forth clarity and assists in building Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
